Scheid / Mr. Chairman 3 Result....__.__._- AN ORDINANCE 2n ordinance amending Section 552 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to the City Cemetery. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 552 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to the City Cemetery, be, and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: SECTION 552. SALE OP LOTS. CEyRTIFICATE. PRICE. The sexton is hereby empowered to sell lots in the city cemetery, and to collect all dues arising from such sales, and all moneys so collected by him shall be by him covered into the city treasury as often as once a month. The Board of Com- missioners is hereby empowered to regulate, according to location, the selling price of said lots. The size being sixteen and one-half feet square, the price of each of said lots shall not exceed three hundred dollars, and shall not be less than twelve dollars; provided, that any person who has heretofore, or who may hereafter purchase a lot, may pay to the sexton one hundred dollars in addition to the said purchase price, which payment shall be received and accepted by Salt Lake City as full compensation for the IFj • 1 future perpetual care and maintenance of said lot. The sexton shall give to each purchaser a certificate for Bach lot or part of lot, showing the description thereof, and stating the price the purchaser paid. He shall also give to each person making the payment for perpetual maintenance, a certificate showing the fact. He shall keep duplicates of all certificates issued by him as parts of the records of his office. 1111 lots and parts of lots conveyed as in this section provided, together with all improvements there- on, shall be exempt from execution and from taxation, except for water. The payments mentioned in this section shall not be construed to be in payment for any of the services described in Section 555. SECTION 2.
