AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 968 of Chapter IX of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to meat
and food inspection, and repealing paragraph (b) of Section 3658,
of said Revised Ordinances, as amended by an ordinance passed by
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on the 25th
day of September, 1945, relating to licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 968 of Chapter IX of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City,Utah,1944, relating to meat and food
inspection, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 968. STANDARD OF MEAT INSPECTION. The regulations
governing meat inspection of the United States Department
of Agriculture shall be the standard government meat inspec-
tion in Salt Lake City."
SECTION 2. That paragraph (b),of Section 3658, of the
00 Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, as amended by
an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, on the 25th day of September, 1945, relating to licenses, be
and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 4. This ordinance 1 : effect upon its
first publication. ��
