An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of the property hereinafter described. on Third South Street between West Tempi* and on Rio Grande Streets; andARio Grande Street between Second South:'an& Fourth South Streets, in Paving District No. 21, for the purpose of providing for the grading, guttering and curbing, and paving thereof. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax_and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District to. 27, for the purpose of providing for the grading, guttering and curbing, and paving of a portion of said district, to-wit: In Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 48; 1 and 2, Blook 59; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 60; and 1 and 2, Block 61, all in Plat "A", abutting on the south side of Third South Street between Seoond West and Third West Streets; and on the north side of Third South Street between West Temple and Third West Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, guttering and curbing with cement and paving with asphalt (said asphalt pave- ment to be eighty (80) feet wide between curbs, and nine and one-hal (9-1/2) inches thick), Third South Street between West Temple and Third West Streets, opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinaft.. described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said prop-. - ty will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the t hereby levied, and said parasols of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet bank therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon.said parcels of land is twenty-six thousand thre- hundred fifty-three and 18/100 ($26,353.18) dollars, or nine and 982265/1,000,000 ($9.982265) dollars per front or linear foot of abor- ting property for roadway eighty feet wide, there being 2680 feet of 181 -2- abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and stre- above mentioned in said district, whioh is the total cost and cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entire. into for the perforaanoe of said work and making said improvement, with P. One or more instal - ments, or the whole special tax may be paid on the day any instalime. becomes due by paying the amount thereof and interest to date of pay mint.
