AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE VACATING a portion of the street known as 3230
West Street as it lies within the Centennial Industrial Park Sub-
division near 2100 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds that it is in the
public's interest to allow the vacation of a portion of the public
road known as 3230 West Street situated within the boundaries of the
Centennial Industrial Park Subdivision for the purposes of allowing
the realignment of said street with the North/South leg of the
proposed highway interchange at 3200 West Street and the 2100 South
Freeway and in reliance upon the representation that in connection
with said vacation, that the City shall accept and receive a dedi-
cation for a public street of a 3,221 square foot portion of Lot 2
within said subdivision which is abutting 3230 West as previously
dedicated for the purpose of restoring the 60.0 foot right-of-way
for 3230 West Street; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the realignment of this street
together with the dedication of a portion of the subdivision to
realign said street will not be adverse to the general public's
interest.
THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the portion of the 60 foot right-of-way and
fee simple interest in 3230 West Street dedicated to the public as
of part of the Centennial Industrial Park Subdivision, which is
located at approximately 3230 West at 2100 South Street,in Salt
Lake City, Utah, more particularly described as follows, be, and the
same hereby is, vacated and declared no longer to be a public
property for the use as a street, avenue or alley, or pedestrian
way:
Beginning at a point on the North right-of-way
line of a State Road, said point being South 89°
44' 20" West, 314.16 feet from the Southeast corner
of Phase II, Centennial Industrial Park, Salt Lake
City, Salt Lake County, Utah, recorded September 23,
1977 as Entry No. 3001204, Book 77-9, Page 298,
records of said County; said point further described
as being North 0° 09' 38" East, 894.97 feet and South
89° 44' 20" West, 194.35 feet from the Southeast
corner of Section 17, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, 4
Salt Lake Base and Meridian; and running thence South dr', F
89° 44' 20" West 25.63 feet along said North line to VC„Je``
the point of tangency of a curve; thence north-
easterly to the right along the arc of a 30.00 foot
radius curve 46.90 feet; thence North 0° 09' 38"
East 111.77 feet to the point of tangency of a curve;
thence Northwesterly to the left along the arc of a
30.00 foot radius curve 51.49 feet; thence North 81°
49' 42" East 9.35 feet; thence southeasterly to the
right along the arc of a 30.00 foot radius curve
47.17 feet; thence South 8° 05' 29" East 114.11 feet;
thence southwesterly to the right along the arc of a
30.00 foot radius curve 51.22 feet to point of be-
ginning. Contains 3,085 square feet (.071 acres,
more or less) .
Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT to all existing right-
of-ways and easements of all public utilities of any and every
description now located on, in, under, or over the confines of the
above-described property and also subject to the rights of entry
thereon for the purpose of maintaining, altering, repairing, re-
placing, removing or rerouting said utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also made expressly SUBJECT to all existing
right-of-ways.
Said vacation is also expressly SUBJECT to the condition
precedent that a dedication plat shall be submitted by the owners
of the abutting property having frontage along 3230 West Street for a
parcel of approximately 3,221 square feet that in effect provides
for the realignment and reestablishment of the public street system
for this above-entitled subdivision.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon the execution
by the City Commission of the above-described dedication plat that
shall include the property within said subdivision which shall
provide for the realignment of said street.
SECTION 3. This ordinance, after its publication, shall be
effective upon its recordation simultaneously with the recording of
the above described dedication plat with the Salt Lake County

Recorder's Office. In the event said above-described final dedi-
cation plat is not approved by the City Commission for filing of
record with the Salt Lake County Recorder's Office within twelve
months from the date hereof, this ordinance shall be null and of
no legal force and effect and shall not be recorded in the office
of the Salt Lake County Recorder's Office.
Passed by the Board of Commission on the 22nd day of November
1978.
