AN ORDINANCE VACATING a twelve-foot alley located in Block 5�

Aveneus in Salt Lake City, Utah.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds that twelve foot alley
located in Block 5 of the Prospect Park Subdivision, generally
located between Harris Avenue and Bayfield Avenue in Salt Lake City,
Utah, is not needed for the use of the public for the use as a
thoroughfare, and that the vacation of such streets and alleys will
not be adverse to the general public's interest and that the owners
of abutting land have consented to the vacation thereof, therefore,
Be it ordained by the Board of City Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the twelve-foot alley located in Block 5 of
the Prospect Park Subdivision, running between Harris and Bayfield
Avenues, East of Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, Utah, more parti-
cularly described as follows, be, and the same hereby is vacated
and declared vacated and no longer public property for use as streets,
avenues, alleys or pedestrian ways:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 2,
Block 5, Prospect Park Subdivision of Section
15, T.l S., R. 1 W., Salt Lake Base and
Meridian, and running East 12.00 feet; thence
South 276.00 feet; thence West 12.00 feet;
thence North 276.00 feet to the point of
beginning. Contains 0.076 acres.
Said vacation is made expressly SUBJECT to all right-of-ways
and easements of all utilities of any and every description now
located on, in, under or over the confines of the above-described
property and also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the
purpose of maintaining, altering, repairing, replacing, removing
or rerouting said utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also expressly made SUBJECT to all existing
right-of-ways and easements of any properties of any third parties.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health, and welfare of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon the date of
its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners on the 28th day of November
1978.
