�'% AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of the propert
hereinafter described on Third South Street between Went Templo,:,:aud.
Rio Grande Streets; and on Rio Grande Street between Second South and
Fourth South Streets, in Paving District No. 28, for the purpose of
providing for the grading, guttering and curbing, and paving thereof.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Paving District No. 28, for the purpose of providing for
the grading, guttering and curbing, and paving of a portion of said
district, to-wit:
In Lots 5 and 6, Block 49; 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 50, Plat "A",
abutting on the south side of Third South Street between West Temple
and Second West Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, guttering
and curbing with cement, and paving with asphalt (said asphalt pave-
ment to be eighty (80) feat wide between curbs, and nine and one-half
(9-1/2) inches thick), Third South Street between West Temple and
Second West Streets, opposite the property hereinbefore and herein-
after described to be especially affected and benefited by said im-
provement, and it is hereby ad4udged, determined and established that
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount
of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assesse.

S$TION 2. Said tax,shall:become and be delinquent in ten equal
installments, as follows, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after
the approval of the erdinance .confirming the levy of the tax for the
payment for such improvement; one-tenth thereof in two years after
( such approval; one-tenth thereof in three years after such approval;
one-tenth thereof in four years after such approval; one-tenth there-
of in five years after such approval; one-tenth thereof in six years
after such approval; one-tenth thereof in seven years after such ap-
proval; one-tenth thereof in eight years after such approval; one-
! thnth thereof in nine years after such approval; and one-tenth there-
! of in ten years after such approval. One or more of said installments
or the whole tax may be paid on or before ten days after the approva

! ments, or the whole special tax may be paid on the day any installme
beoomes0 due by paying the amount thereof and interest to date of pa -
ment. Eaoh of said installments shall bear interest at the rate of
six (6) per cent par annum from the date of the approval of the ordi-
nanoe I confirming the levy of said tax until the date of delinquency,
and eight (8) per cent per annum from delinquency until paid.
