AN ORDINANCE.
An Ordinance regulating and examining qualifications of
all Inspectors on public improvements:
Be it ordained 2,,that before any person shall be appointed
as an inspector on any work pertaining to public improvements,
he shall first be examined,by the ,City ^,ngineer and Supervisor
of Streets' and Public Improvements as to his knowledge of the
work that he is.expected to perform; -and that no one shall be

confirmed by the Board of Commissioners without the recommen-
dation,of the City Engineer and Supervisor of Streets and Pub-
lic Imnrovements, as to hie qualifications, which shall be
stated in writing and attached to the recommendation for the
appointments: .,
That the Inspectors so appointed shall make reports in
duplicate, one to be sent to the City Engineer and the other
to the Supervisor of Streets and Public Improvements, daily.
Any and all Ordinances coming in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall take effect after its first publi-
cation.
