An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
within the following described district: Beginning at the Jordan
River end Tenth South Street; thence east along the north property
line of Tenth South Street to West Temple Street; thence north to
Ninth South Street; thence east to Thirteenth East Street; thenoe
south to Tenth South Street; thence east to Fifteenth East Street;
thenoe south to Thirteenth South Street; thenoe west to Highland
Park Drive; thence northerly along the west property line of High-
land Park Drive to Denver A Rio Grande Railroad traoks, Park City
Brenoh; thenoe westerly along said tracks to Sixth East Street;
thence north to Twelfth South Street; thence west to Third Best
Street; thenoe north to Eleventh South Street; thence west to Main
Street; thence north to Tenth South Street; thenoe west along the
south property line of Tenth South Street to the Jordan River, the
same being the boundary of the district to be improved, in Sewer
Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer Districts Nos. 1
and 2, for the construction of sewers, to-wit:

This tax is levied to defray the expense of construoting
vitrified and oonorete pipe sewers upon the portions of said streets
Iopposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be

hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property

Ijwill be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax
' hereby levied, and said parcels of lend are hereby assessed at an
level and uniform rate in a000rdanoe with the linear foot frontage
upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet bank therefrom, and the tax hereby levied
and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is fifty thousand two
hundred seventeen and 36/100 ( 50,217.36) dollars; twenty thousand
two hundred twenty-one and 19/100 ( 20,221.19) dollars, or two and
25/100 (42.25) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting prop-
erty for sewer on side of streets, there being 8987.20 feet abut-
ting said portion of said improvement; and twenty-nine thousand
nine hundred ninety-six and 17/100 429,996.17) dollars, or one an
245/1000 ($1.245) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting
property for sewer in oenter of streets, there being 24,093.31 fee
abutting said portion of said improvement, all within the loundari s
of the lots, blooks and streets above mentioned in said distriots,

according to the contract entered into for the performance of said
work and making said improvement, with Henry C. Ulen, dated the
16th day of September, 1914, and the Treasurer is hereby authorize.

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per oent per annum, payable at the time each
; installment is dale, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three
yeers after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in
four years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth

thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effeotive. One
or more of said installments, in the order in which they are pay-
able, or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within
thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax
becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any install-
ment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same
becomes due, the whole-amount.of the special tax unpaid at the
time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and
1 payable, and shall draw interest. at the rate of eight .per cent per
annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or
more installments, in the ardor-An which they are payable, ox' the

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publioation.
