19 of 1980 - Amending Section 51-12-2 rezoning certain properties in the areas of the L.D.S., Primary Children's, ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordin-
ances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to re-
zoning and fixing boundaries of Use Districts.
WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners of Salt Lake City
have previously determined that in order to encourage and to foster
the contained growth and development of the medical institutions
and necessary medically related services in a manner that is com-
patible with the existing residential neighborhoods for the best
interest of the community, this City Council, in concurrence with
the prior decision by the Board of City Commissioners, hereby adopts
the following amendments to the Use District provisions of Title 51.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah.
SECTION 1. That the use and "Use District Map" as adopted by
Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1965,
as amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of use districts
be, and the same hereby is amended as follows:
That the following described parcels of real property situated
near L.D.S. Hospital on 8th Avenue and "C" Street in Salt Lake City,
Utah, more particularly described below, are hereby rezoned to the
use district classifications as designated below and the Use District
Map is amended and changed accordingly:
Parcel 1. That the following described parcel located between
7th and 8th Avenues and "B" and "C" Streets, known as Block 101,
Plat D, Salt Lake City Survey, currently zoned Residential "R-6"
shall be zoned to a Residential "R-2" classification.

Commencing at the southeast corner of Eighth Avenue and "B"
