Result AN ORDINANCE An ordinance levying a tax end for the assessment of property on Thirteenth East Street between Ninth South and Twelfth South Streets, in Paving District No. 32, for the purpose of providing for the grading, and guttering and ourbing thereof, and constructing drainage and irrigation system and constructing private driveways. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District No. 32, for the purpose of providing for the grading and ourbing and guttering thereof, and constructing drainage and irrigation system, and private driveways, to-wit: In Lots 1 and 109, Felt's Subdivision; 1, and 103 to 111, in- clusive, Block 4, Lincoln Park Subdivision; 12, 15 and 16, all in Block 16-A, Five Aore Plat "A"; 20 to 29, inclusive, College Heights Subdivision; 19 to 23, inclusive, College Heights Seoond Addition; 1 to 9, inclusive, and 12 to 23, inclusive, East Morningside Sub- division; 7, all in Block 11, Five Acre Plat "C", and ell in Big Field Survey, abutting on both sides of Thirteenth East Street between Tenth South Street and Roosevelt Avenue• This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing and guttering with cement, constructing drainage and irrigation systems of concrete and vitrified pipe from six (6) inches to thirty-six (36) inches in diameter, to carr :Ygter across streets -1- and intersections (said grading to be forty-two (42) feet between curbs on said Thirteenth Last Street between Tenth South and Twelfth South Streets) , on the portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be espeoial- ly affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street , fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is forty-nine hundre• seventy-five and 66/100 (44975.66) dollars, or two and 40/100 ( 2.40) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for forty-two foot roadway, there being 2073.19 feet of abutting prop erty within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and street above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with P. J. Moran, Contractor, Incorporated, dated the 9th day of August, 1915, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: Forty-two Foot Roadway. The east side of Lot 12; the east side of Lots 1 and 109, Felt's Subdivision; the east side of Lots 1, and 103 to 111, inclu sive, Block 4, Lincoln Park Subdivision; the east side of the spout. 210 feet of Lot 15, the east side of the north E5 feet of Lot 16, all in Block 16-A, Five Acre Plat "A"; the west side of Lots 20 to 29, inclusive, College Heights Subdivision; the west side of Lots 19 to 23, inclusive, College Heights Second Addition; the west sid: i of Lots 13 to 22, inclusive, the west side of Lots 1 to 8, inclu- -2- 11 sive, the west side of the south 19.47 feet of Lot 23, the west west side of the north 20.26 feet of Lot 12, the =Eft side of the south 13.74 feet of Lot 9, East Morningside Subdivision; the west side of the north 56.32 feet of Lot 7, all in Block 11, Five Acre Plat "C", and all in Big Field Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of t'ventypfive (25) fact back from said street, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal yearly installments, withiint©rest on the whole sum unpaid li at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable et the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the IIordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance beoomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three year: after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth there of in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of said installments, in the order in which they are payable or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same become due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, end shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more 1 installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whol special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment become: due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said date. -3 SECTION 3.
