An erdinanoe amending and re-ensoting Section 113 of Chapter I LVIII of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, relating to waterworks, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City Conrail of Salt Lake City February 23, 110$, and approved by the Mayer pro tom. February 24, 1909. Bo it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 913, Chapter bt of the Revised Ordinsno s ' of Salt Lake City of 1103, as amended by an ordinaaoe passed by the City Council February 23, 1f0f, and approved by the Mayer pro tem. February 24, 1909, be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted se as to read as fellows: SECTION S13. Kereafter, before any consumer shall be sup- plied with water from its waterworks system, Salt Lake City shal require the attachment of a water meter of a type to be approved by the City Conseil to the service of all consumers of city wale . l Suoh water meters shall be attached or set under the direction II j of or subjeot to the approval of the Waterworks Department. All payments shall be made to the City Treasurer of Salt Lake City, who shall keep the same in a separate account to be i designated the meter account. ! The Superintendent of Waterworks is hereby directed to oarri into effect the provisions of this ordinance at ono*, by requiri*g the metering of all new services, and the metering of all ser- vises in the pity. The Superintendent of any employee of the Waterworks Department shall have the right to enter the premises of any consumer for the purpose of installing a meter, or in- ! apeoting the water appliances; should any oenanmer refuse to allow any duly authorised employee of the Waterworks Department t,...1- • e i; -2- spent the water appliaaoee or install a meter, the water shall be turned off. The City shall keep clean and is repair all meters, free of oharge to the consumer, with the exoeptioa of new parts, the actual ocst of which shall be paid for by the consumer when repaired. SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinaao a and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the exte of such conflict; provided, however, that the provisions of Section $12, as amended, shall apply to consumers until meters shall be installed. SECTION 3.
