Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Section 1105 of Chapter 51 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1105 of Chapter 51 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to sewers, be, and
the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 1105. Applications for permit for sewer connec-
tions must be made in writing by the owner of the premises, or
his authorized agent, and must be accompanied by a plan,
showing the cause of the connection, its size and the size and
location of all branches to be connected with it. The applica-
tion and plan, together with a fee of 4.00. shall be deposited
with the Superintendent of Sewers, which plan shall be examined
by the Superintendent of Sewers, and if in his judgment, the
carrying out of such plan will cause no injury to the street
in which the sewer sought to be connected with is laid, or to
the carrying out of improvements projected, or which may
thereafter be made on said street, or prejudicial to the
interests of persons whose property has been or may thereafter
be connected with said sewer, and that said plan in all things
shall conform to the ordinances of the City, then the applica-
tion to connect with the sewer shall be granted, subject to

the provisions of this chapter. All sewer connections
shall be put into line and grades designated by the City
• Engineer, who shall prepare a plat of each connection and
file such plat in his office, for which services and filing
the Engineer shall collect a fee of 42.50. all house con-
nections to the sewer shall be inspected by the Sewer
Inspector. kitty work not approved by him shall be rectified

at the crossing of the intercepting sewer at Eighth West
and Fifth South Streets.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health Lnd safety of the inhabi-
tints of Salt Lake City that said ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3e This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
