nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by ordinances
passed by the Board of Commissioners on February 24, 1942, and
September 22, 1942, relating to the City hecorder.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 438 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by ordinances passed by the
Board of Commissioners on February 24, 1942, and September 22, 1942,
relating to the City Recorder, be and the same is hereby amended to
read as foiloms:
SEC. 438. APPOIdTEESTS, DEPOTIES, ASSISTANTS. CLERKS.
The Board of Commissioners may appoint in the office of the
city recorder of Salt Lake City the following deputies at
salaries not to exceed the amounts named:
One chief deputy city recorder at a salary not to 9
exceed 2,580.0Oper annum.
In the absence of or during the disability of the
City Recorder, the chief deputy city recorder shall exercise
all the functions and powers of the city recorder. he shall
give a bond to the city in the sum of wl,OJO.00.
One chief clerk at a salary not to exceed '2100.00
per annum,(ehich amount includes the 5;10.00 as provided in
Bill No. 9, published April 23, 1943).
One deputy city recorder, who shall act as deputy •
clerk of the city court, at a salary not to exceed (2,160.00

per annum.
One deputy city recorder, who shall act as deputy

clerk of the city court, at a salary not to exceed ; 1,860.00
per annuli.
Six deputy city recorders, who shall act as deputy
clerks at the city court, at a salary not to e_-_ceed 5l,600.UO
per annuli.
One deputy city recorder, r.ho shall act as aeputy
cleric of the city court, at a salary not to exceed ,;1,620.00
per annuli.
