AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6707 of the Reviood
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to zoning.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 6707 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to zoning, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 6707. RULES. MEETINGS. The board of adjustment
shall adopt such rules as may be proper and necessary to ef-
fectuate zoning within Salt Lake City and to govern its own
proceedings, such rules and regulations to be not in conflict -
with l.ae or ordinance. Meetings of the board shall be held
at the call of the chairman and at such other times as the
board may determine.
The chairman of said board of adjustment or in his absence
the acting chairman may administer oaths and compel the attend-

ance of witnesses at such meetings, and all meetings shall be
open to the public. The said board shall keep minutes of its
proceedings showing the rollcall votes upon ail questions and
shall keep records of its examinations and other official actions,
all of which shall be filed in the office of said board and shall
be public records.
The city commission shall appoint a person to act as clerk
of the board of adjustment.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately,
