20 of 1904 - Ordinance 20 of 1904 – Sewer Extension No. 126. AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
en the west side of Seventh Nast Street between First South and
Seeond South Street, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction
of a sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots 1 and 8, Block 53, Plat "B", Salt Lake City Sur-
vey, abutting on the west side of Seventh East Street between First
South and Second South Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, said prop.*

arty having a frontage of 610 feet along said street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a =!d[
sewer upon said portion of said street opposite the property here-
inafter described et be espceially affected and benefited by said
improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established
that the same will be benefited thereby to the full amount of the
tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at
an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot front-
age upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of
twnety-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is seven hundred and
ninety-three ($783.00) dollars, or one and 30/100 (31.30) dollars
per front or linear foot, which is the estimated total cost, and
estimated cost per linear foot of said sewer, and the Treasurer is
hereby authorised and directed to assess in accordance with the pro-
visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, the
north 305 feet of Lot 1, and the south 305 feet of Lot 8, Block 53,
Plat "B", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the of-
ficial plats of s,,id City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back
from said street.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent as follows:
One-third thereof shall become delinquent in three months after !
the approval of this levy; one-third in six months after said ap-

proval, and one-third in twelve months after said approval. Each
and every installment of said talc except the first, shall draw in-
terest at the rate of seven per cent per annum from date of levy, ad
and all said installments shall bear ten per cent per annum from
date of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upo$ approval.
