AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Sewer Distriot No. 2 (Sewer Extension No..410) for the pur-
pose of constructing a sower.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District
No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a
sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 1, 2, 7 and 8 of Blk. 77, Lots 12 to 31,
incl. and 34 to 51 inal. of Taylor's Sub. of Blk. 77, Lots
1 to 13 incl. of Blocks l..A end 1-B of Oakley Sub. of Blk.
78, all in Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both
sides of 1st alley west of 9th West from 3rd North to a point
495 feet south, both aides of 1st alley west of Marion Street from
3rd North to let alley south and south side of 3rd North from 10th
to llth.West.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
a vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches to eighteen (18) inches in
diameter, inoluding manholes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions, all
complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property
hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and
benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged, determined
and established that said property will be especially benefited

thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said
parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in ao-
cordanee with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of
said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said
parcels of land back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Six Thousand Four
Hundred Sixty-two and 80/100 ($6,462.80) dollars; Four Thousand
Ninety-three and 40/100 ($4,093.40) dollars or Two and 11/100
($2.11) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property
for half rate, there being 1940 feet abutting said. improvement;
Two Thousand Three Hundred. Sixty-nine and 40/100 ($2,369.40)
dollars or Three and. 59/100 ($3.59) dollars per front or linear
foot of abutting property for full rate, there being 660 feet
abutting said improvement, which is the total abutters' cost
and cost per front foot of said sewer according to the contract
entered into for the performance of said work and making said
improvement with John O'Connor, Contractor, dated. the 18th day
of October, 1922, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and
directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this
ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned.:

The east side of Lots 12 to 31 incl., the west side
of Lots 35 to 51 incl. and the west side of the south 20 feet
of Lot 34, Taylor's Sub. of Bik. 77, the east side of Lot 7,
the east aide of the north 165 feet of Lot 2, the west side
of the east 148.5 feet of Lot 8 and the west side of the north
165 feet of the east 148.5 feet of Lot 1, also of Blk. 77,
Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey:

shown upon the official plats of said city to the entire depth
of said parcels of land and to collect said. tax.
SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected., approved and completed by the Board.
of Equalization and Review of the property deacribed in Section
I of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No.
410) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer
upon said portions of said street, is hereby confirmed, and
the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and
the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board.
of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved
and confirmed..
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
yearly installments with interest on the whole sum unpaid at
the rate of six per cent per annum payable at the time each in-
stallment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after the
effective date of this ordinance of levy, one-tenth thereof two
years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof
three years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth
thereof four years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-
tenth thereof five years after this ordinance becomes effective,
one-tenth thereof six years after this ordinance becomes effec-
tive, one-tenth thereof seven years after this ordinance becomee.

this ordinance becomes effective. In the event any installment
or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same be-

payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent
per annum until paid.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall tale effect one day
after its publication.
