AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1269 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to streets.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1269 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to streets, be and the
same is hereby amended by amending the past portion of said
Section 1269 relating to fees, following the word "to wit", which
shall read as follows:
Permit fee for any excavation $2.00
For excavating in any cement sidewalk,
for each square foot, or part thereof .25
For excavating in any pavement or macad-
am street for each square foot, or part thereof . 1.00
For inspecting work where there is no
asphalt or macadam pavement, for each 100 linear
feet, or portion thereof 2 00
For excavating in heavy oil treated
streets, for each square foot or part thereof . . . .50
For excavating in streets surfaced
wit): dust laying oil and in good condition at the
time cut is made, for each square foot or part
thereof .25
Permits must be exhibited at place of excavation.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
