AN ORDINANCE CLARIFYING the description in a vacating ordinance
passed on December 16, 1958, published on December 18, 1958 and known as
Bill No. 81 of 1958.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on the 16th
day of December, 1958, passed Bill No. 81 of 1958 which purported to vacate
all of the streets and alleys in or adjacent to Blocks 5 and 6, Dole's
Addition, with certain exceptions; and
WHEREAS, the said ordinance recited that all the abutting property
/own
peertitioned for said vacation; and
WHEREAS, the only streets and alleys to be vacated for which all
the abutting property owners had petitioned were those particularly de-
scribed in said ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
SECTION 1. That the description in Bill No. 81 of 1958, vacating
certain streets and alleys be clarified to read as follows:
"All of the Northsouth alley in Block 5, 16 feet wide and
extending South from 8th South Street 779.6 feet more or less
to 9th South Street; all of Rollin Street running North and
South, 66 feet wide between Block 5 and Block 6 and extending
South from the Surplus Canal 700 feet more or less to 9th South
Street; all of Northsouth alley 8 feet wide bounding the East
side of Block 6 and extending South from the Surplus Canal 350
feet more or less to 9th South; all being in Dole's Addition to
Salt Lake City, being a portion of the N.E.g and the N.W.4 of
Section 9, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S.L.B.&M., and reserving and ex-
cepting therefrom an existing unplatted street 66 feet wide
running east and west through the north portion of said Blocks
5 and 6 and above described street and alleys and known as
Indiana Avenue."

SECTION 2. The purpose of this ordinance is to clarify the said
description so that the plat in the office of the Salt Lake County Recorder
may be corrected accordingly.
SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake
City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
