AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-25-20 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to licensing of automatic
dialing with pre-recorded message alarm systems.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-25-20 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to exemptions under the chapter
relating to licensing of automatic dialing with pre-recorded message
alarm systems, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 20-25-20. Exemptions. The term 'person' shall not
include the City of Salt Lake.
"The term 'other emergency' shall not include fire. Fire
alarm systems are not covered by this ordinance, but are
covered by Sec. 15-29-2."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this loth day of March, 1970.
