AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, RELATING TO REZONING
AND FIXING BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, in response to the request made for a change of
zoning by Crossroads Development Corporation, said request being
known as Petition No. 927 of 1980, the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and
before the Planning Commission, has taken into consideration
citizen testimony, planning and demographic data, and the desire
of the owners of the property to substantially have joined with
the petitioner for the purposes of developing a planned develop-
ment, as part of the Council's deliberations. Pursuant to these
deliberations, said Council has concluded that the rezoning of
said parcel will be appropriate to provide additional housing
that will be compatible with the best interests of the particular
neighborhood involved and sensitive to the needs of the City as a
whole.
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions in
Title 51.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965,
relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use District, be, and the
same hereby is, amended as follows:
Sec. 51-12-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the
following-described parcel of residential land in Salt Lake City,
generally located in that area south of the Wenco Acres
Subdivision, north of 1700 South Street, currently zoned
Residential "R-2" is hereby zoned Residential "R-2A" and the "Use
District Map" is amended accordingly.

Commencing at a point in the west line of 1000 West
Street, said point being South 0°11 '15" West, 194.906
feet from the southwest corner of Wenco Drive and
1000 West Street; thence South 89°55'53" West 331.5
feet; thence North 101.895 feet; thence West 160.0
feet; thence South 101.895 feet; thence South
89°55'53" West 570.35 feet; thence South 14°13'25"
East 224.76 feet; thence West 14.77 feet; thence
South 2°19'21" West 129.16 feet; thence East 165.73
feet; thence South 0°23'30" East 22.56 feet; thence
East 96.27 feet; thence North 14°13'29" East 187.8
feet; thence East 500.0 feet; thence North 0°11 '15"
East 137.7 feet; thence North 89°55'53" East 217.78
feet; thence North 0°11 '15" East 50.0 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days after the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 17th day of March , 1981.
