AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION
1509 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944,
relating to City Auditor.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the first paragraph of Section 1509 of
the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to
City Auditor, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The city auditor may appoint two competent persons as
deputy city auditors, designated as first and second deputy
auditors, at salaries not exceeding $3300.00 per annum each;
said appointments shall be confirmed by the board of commis-
sioners; provided, that when the city auditor is absent on
leave of absence without pay, the first deputy city auditor
shall receive the salary provided by law to be paid the city
auditor."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,

of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take of fpct upon its first
