AN ORDINANCE .
In ordinance amending and re.•enaoting Section 288 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, relating to the Board of Health
appointment, end compensation, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the City Council of Salt Lake City, February 27, 1911, and ap- i
proved by the Mayor February 28, 1911.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 288 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, relating to the Board of Health, appointment,
jand compensation, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City
Council of Salt Lake City February 27, 1911, and approved by the
Mayor February 28, 1911, be, and the same is hereby amended and re
enacted so as to read as follows:
SECTION 288. The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, shall appoint a Board of Health oonsisting of a
Health Commissioner and an Assistant Health Commissioner, each
of whom shall be a graduate of a reputable medical college,
and two citizens. The Commissioner of Public Safety shall bej
a member and ex-officio chairman of the Board of Health. The
compensation of each member of the Board of Health, exolusivej
of the Commissioner of Public Safety, Health CommiSSioner and;
itAssistant Health Commissioner, is hereby fixes at Five ($5.00)
Dollars for each meeting attended. The Health Commissioner
shall receive as compensation in full for all services render*.
the city a salary of Two Thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars per
annum, payable monthly, as are the salaries of other city
officers, and the sum of Twenty-five ($25.00) ➢ollars per
month for transportation expenses. The Assistant Health Com-
missioner, who shell do such acts and perform such duties
pertaining to the Health Department of the City as may be
delegated to and required of him by the Henith Commissioner
according to law and ordinance, shall receive as compensation

in full for all services rendered the city, a salary of Twely�
Hundred ($1200.00) Dollars per annum, payable monthly as are
the salaries of other city officers, and the sum of Twenty-
five ($25.00) Dollars per month for transportation expenses. i
SECTION 2. A11 ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordi-
nances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Tie Ordidance shall take effect upon its first
