A N ORDINANC E.
An ordinance amending an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, April 16, 1913,
effective April 18, 1913,.aboliehing the office of Supervisor
of Streets and Public Improvements and creating in lieu thereof
the office of Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
Section 1. That an ordinance passed by the Board of Com-
missioners April 16, 1913, effective April 18, 1913, abolishing
the office of the Supervisor of Streets and Public Improvements
and creating in lieu thereof the office of Supervisor of Streets
and Irrigation be and the same is hereby amended to read as fol-
lows:
Section 1. That the office of Supervisor of Streets and
Public Improvements is hereby abolished and in lieu thereof the
office of Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation is hereby created.
The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, shall ap-
point a competent person to the office of Supervisor of Streets

and Irrigation who shall receive a salary o'f O O --per year
payable monthly as are the salaries of other city Officers.
Section 2. The Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation shall
before entering upon the duties of his office take and subscribe
the constitutional oath of office and execute a bond in the sum
of 46000.00 to be approved by the Board of Commissioners, con-
ditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his office
and the payment of all monies received as such officer accord-
ing to law and the ordinances of the city.

Section 3. The Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation shall
have the same powers, obligations and duties as have heretofore
been imposed by law and ordinance upon the Supervisor of Streets
and the Watermaster.
The Supervisor of Streets and Irrigation and all
officers, deputies, clerks and employees shall be included in the
Department of Streets and Public Improvements under the general
direction of the Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its/pub-
lication.
