Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Chapter 54, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1913, relating to special taxes, by adding
thereto a new section to be known as section 1190x1.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 54, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, 1913, relating to special taxes, be, and the
same is hereby amended by the enactment of a new section there-
in to be known as Section 1190x1, the same to read as follows:
SECTION 11901r1.The Board of Commissioners may set
up and maintain a fund out of such revenues as have aocumulat-
ed and suoh as may be earned in the future from the collection
of interest on special tax assessments, which said fund shall
be known as the Special Interest and Guaranty hind. It shall
be the duty of the City Auditor with the approval of the Board
of Commissioners to purohase with the money in said special
interest and guaranty fund, any special improvement warrants
or coupons which shall have been presented for payment and
payment refused because of insufficient funds in the particu-
lar special improvement fund against which said warrant or
coupon is drawn.

Said speoial improvement warrants or coupons so purehas
ed as aforesaid, shall be held by the City Auditor as the pro-
perty of said Speoial Interest and Guaranty Fund. Whenever the e
shall be sufficient money in the improvement fund out of which
to pay any such warrant or coupon, the Auditor shall present
suoh coupon or warrant to the City Treasurer and receive for
credit to said !Special Interest and Guaranty Fund the amount
thdreof, whereupon such ooupon or warrant shall be cancelled.
SECTION 3. In the opinion of the BOard'of Commissioners
it is necessary to the !safety, peace and health'df the inhabit-
ants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance_,take effe 4t =immediat -
ly.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
