AN ORDINANCE A2DDfl G SECTIONS 66 and 67, Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, and amending Chapter 5,
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, by adding in
and to said chapter a new Section to be known as Section 66X1, re-
lating to the Board of Health.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 66, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1920, be and the same is hereby amended by strik-
ing out the last paragraph thereof.
SECTION 2. That Section 67, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1920, be and the same is hereby amended by changing
the twenty-fourth line of said Section as found on page 21 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, to read as fol-
lows:
Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics . . . p1800.00
SECTION 5. That Chapter 5, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1920, be and the same is hereby amended by adding in and
to said chapter a new Section to be known as Sectio;. 66X1, to read
as follows:
SECTION 66X1. The Health Commissioner shall be cx-
officio Registrar of Vital Statistics. There shall be ap-
pointed by the Board of Commissioners a deputy registrar of
vital statistics who, under the direction of the IIealth Com-

missioner, shall have charge of the registration of vital
statistics and the clerical work in the office.
The Registrar of Vital Statistics shall be pro-
vided with a seal containing the words, "Salt Lake City,
Utah, Registrar of Vital :t atistics." Said seal shall be
affixed to every certificate issued by such officer. _1
fee of I1.00 shall be charged by the Registrar of Vital
Statistics for each certificate issued by him, which fee
shall be covered into the City Treasury.
SECTION 4. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the' peace, health and safety of the inhabitant-
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediatel .
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publication.
