AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 6 of Chapter VII of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to miscellaneous
health regulations, by adding in and to said Chapter a new section
to be known as Section 266X.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Article 6 of Chapter VII of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to miscellaneous
health regulations, be and the same is hereby amended by adding in
and to said Chapter a new section to be known as Section 266X, which
shall read as follows:
"SEC. 266X. BURIALS ON SUNDAY. It shall be unlawful to
inter any human body in any cemetery in Salt Lake City on Sun-
day, except that Sunday interments of the dead may be made
where the Health Commissioner shall order burial of a deceased
person who died of a contagious disease.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is
necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance sha.l_take- effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
