AN ORDINANCE; AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 1509, Chapter
15, as amended, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944.
relating to City Auditor.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the first paragraph of Section .1509, Chapter 15, as
' amended, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating
to City Auditor, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The City Auditor may appoint two competent persons as deputy
City Auditors designated as first and,aeconddeputy city auditor
at a salary of not to exceed 45700.00 : or the fix* deputy and
not to exceed $5400.00 for the second'deputy, said appointments
shall be confirmed by the Board of City Commissioners; provided,
that when the city auditor is absent on leave of absence without
pay, the first deputy city auditor shall receive the salary pro-
vided by law to be paid the city auditor."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is nec-
essary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
,that this ordinance become effective immediately; therefore, this ordinance
shall take effect March 1, 1955.
