An ordinance amending Section 840 of Chapter 33 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to the office of
License Assessor and Collector, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City ..ugust 8, 1916.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 840 of Chapter 33 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1910, relating to the office of
License Assessor and Collector, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City August 8, 1916, be,
and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 840 LICENSE ASSESSOR A.h COLLECTOR. ]s'I.^"LOYEES.
SALI!hIES. There is hereby created in the Department of Public
Affairs and Pinance the office of License Assessor and Collector.
The Board of Commissioners may appoint a competent person as
License Assessor and Collector at a salary of 2,100.00 per
annum. The License Assessor and Collector shall give bond to
the City in the sum of 00,000.00.
The License Assessor and Collector sup recommend for
appointment by the Board of Commissioners the following inspector
and employees at salaries not to exceed the amounts stated,
to-wit:

One chief bookkeeper; 0.200.00 per annum;
Five inspectors; 41080, each, per annum;
One stenographer; 4900.00 per annum, and such other
employees as may be necessary for the proper conduct of said
office, all of said salaries to be paid in monthly install-
ments.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect on its first
publication.
