AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Subparagraph (c) of Section 25-11-6 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to the sal-
ary schedule pertaining to uniform allowance by adding thereto a unifor
allowance for security guards assigned to Public Safety Buildings.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Subparagraph (c) of Section 25-11-6 of the Revises
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to uniform allowance'
be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
Section 25-11-6. * * *

(c) Uniform allowance. In addition to the salaries hero-
in provided, the members of the fire department, police
clerical personnel, the chief security guard and each security
guard assigned to the Salt Lake City International Airport,
and each security guard assigned to the Public Safety Build-
ings, who are required to wear a uniform, shall receive the
sum of $15.00 per month as a uniform allowance, and all other
members of the Police Department who are required to wear a
uniform shall receive the sum of $26.50 per month as a uniform
allowance.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the in-
habitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
5th day of March , 1974.
