Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE «LENDIN0 CHAPTER LIII, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1920, by adding in and to said Chapter a new
Section to be known as Section 1677X1, relating to sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Chapter LIII, revised Ordinances of
bait Lake City, 1920, be and the sane is hereby amended by adding
in and to said Chapter a new erection to be known as Section 1677X1,
relating to sewers to read as follows:
SECTION 1677X1. Each separate building or pro-
mises shall have a separate connection to the main line
sewer, except only in cases where that is impracticable,
and then only on special permission to be granted by the
Board of Commissioners upon the recommendation of the City
Engineer; provided, however, that no such special permission
shall be granted by the Board of Commissioners unless and
until the owner of each building or premises to be thus
connected shall grant to and r ai e rom each other per-
petual easements and rights of way/iacross _n d upon ea h of
the premises involved for the purpose of constructing and
maintaining each separate connection, and shall covenant -
and agree as a part of such right of way or easement so that
the same shall be a covenant appurtenant to and running with
the land that each owner will bear and pay his proportionate

share for the maintenance and repair of the connection
whether the expenditure, maintenance or repair is or be-
comes necessary upon his own premises or upon the premises
with which he is connected.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the 3oard of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the Peace, health and safety of the inhabitant
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publication.
