Result
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Lighting District No. 1-F, for the purpose of providing
for the operation, maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lighting Dis-
trict No. 1-F, for the purpose of providing for the operation,
maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps, to-wit: -
In Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Block 40, Lots 1 and 2 of
Blk. 51; Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 of 131k. 56; Lots 6 and 6 of Elk.
57; Lots 5 to 8 incl. of Blk. 58; Lots 1 and 2 of Blk. 69;
Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of 31k. 70; Lots 1, 2, 5 and 6 of Blk. 71;
Lots 1 to 4 incl. of Blk. 74; Lots 5 and 6 of Elk. 75; Lots 5,
6, 7 and 8 of '_31k. 76; Lots 1 to 4 incl. of Blk. 88; Plat "A",
Salt Lake City Survey; and commencing at the Southeast Corner
of Lot 1, Blk. 88, Plat "A", thence E. 33 ft., being a part of
the S.W.1/4 of Sec. 31, T. 1 N., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & M., abutting
on the south side of South Temple, Main to ',Vest Temple Streets;
both sides of South Temple, Main to State Btreets; both
sides of 1st South Street, State to 2nd East Streets; both sides
of 2nd South Street, West Temple to 2nd East streets; and both
sides of 4th South Street, Main to West Temple Streets; in Salt

This tax is levied to defray the expense of providing
'for the operation, maintenance and patrolling of arc lamps on the
fall night schedule for a period of one year from April 25, 1926,
to April 25, 1927, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab-
'lished that said property will be especially benefited thereby to
khe full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land;
'are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with
!the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth back there-
from and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels
;of land is pour Thousand, Teo Hundred Sixty-nine and 30/100
44,269.30) Dollars or:511831/1000000 ($0.511831) Dollars per front
Ior linear foot of abutting property, there being 8,341.23 feet
(abutting said portion of said improvement and the cost of which

ioperation, maintenance and patrolling and the property benefited
thereby is hereinafter set out, and all within the boundaries of
(the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district,
which is, the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said
'improvement for a period of one year, according to the contract
entered into for the performance of said work and making said im-
provement with Utah Power & Light 2ompany, dated the 22nd day of
April, 1926, said levy to date and be effective from April 25,
1926, which is the date service began, and the city treasurer is
)'aereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned;

j SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the city
4reasurer, as corrected, approved and conpleted by the Board of 1
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of 1
this ordinance in Lighting District No. 1-F of Salt Lake City, fort
'the purpose of providing for the operation, maintenance and patroll-
I,ling of arc lamps, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made
and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board
Hof Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. Said tax shall be due in one payment. Said
payment becomes delinquent and draws interest at the rate of
twelve per cent per annum if not paid within fifteen days from thel
'time the ordinance levying the assessment becomes effective.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day afte'
