AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY.
WHEREAS, on May 12, 1936 Harold F. Beck and others,
IL!) being a majority of the owners of real property situate. in

v t. the tract of land hereinafter described, signed and filed
with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, Petitions No. 315 and
406, requesting that said tract of land be taken within the
limits of said city, and also caused an accurate map to be made
and certified to by a competent surveyor and approved by the
City Engineer, to be filed with the City Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the said tract of land is contiguous to Salt
Lake City and there is no proper reason why it should not be
annexed to and made a part of said city; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
after examining said petition of said owners of said tract of 6

land, and considering the circumstances thereof, voted by
unanimous vote of all members of said board in favor of
annexing said tract of land to Salt Lake City, and directed
the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance making and declaring
said annexation; now therefore
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
Section 1. That the city limits of Salt Lake City
be and the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to in-
clude the following described tract of land in Salt Lake County,
to-wit:

Beginning at the S. 1/4 Corner of Section 22, T. 1 S.
R. 1 E., 5. L. B. & M., thence west along said section
line 2670.2 Feet to a point on the present City Limit
Line, which is 9 feet east of the west boundary line
of 20th East Street, Thence north 512.7 feet along a
line parallel to and 9 feet east of the west side of
20th East Street to a point on the center line of 27th
South Street, thence S. 89°51! 43" W. 340.45 feet on
the center line of 27th South Street to a point 81.5
feet east of the west side of Preston Street thence
N. 00° 31! 58" W. 1396.59 feet, thence S. 69b 15! 30"
E. 3274.4 feet, (Calculated distance to close S. 68°
09! 41" E. 3257.4 feet) thence south 696.68 feet to the
S. 1/4 corner of section 22, T. 1 S. R. 1 E., S. L. B.
& M., which is the point of Beginning.rw
And be it further ordained ant deplared thab'when this

ordinance takes effect that tie"said tract 'Of land above des-
cribed shall thenceforth be within the`c.orpqtate limit, .of
said Salt Lake City, and all ,ordinances, jur. sdictions`, ,rules
and obligations of or pertaining to said Salt Lake City: are ex-
tended over and made applicable and pertinent to the'Said tract
of land, and the streets, blocks, alleys and ways of said tract
shall be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and
regulations of said city in that behalf, and the monuments of
the city Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the
standard of locations and distances.
Section 2. Upon the passage of this ordinance the
City Necorder of Salt Lake City shall file, and she is hereby
directed to file with the County Recorder of Salt Lake County,
a copy of the map and plat above mentioned, duly certified and
acknowledged as provided in such cases, together with a
certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect 30
days after its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, on the 17th day of_ June , A. D.1936.
