Result
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 96, of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners on March 25, 1936, and amend-
ing Section 98, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1934, relating to the Board of Health.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 96, of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by
the Board of Commissioners on March 25, 1936, relating to the Board
of Health, be and the same is hereby amended by amending the last
two paragraphs thereof, which shall read as follows:
The Sanitary Division, the division of meat and food
inspection, and the division of dairy inspection, under the
charge of the Chief Health Inspector with the following duties:
The disposal of garbage and other wastes, including
the city dump and incinerator, sanitary inspection of all meat,
milk and other food inspection and such other duties as may
be assigned by the Health Commissioner.
SECTION 2. That Section 98, of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the Board of Health, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 98. APPOIAiTMENTS. The Board of Commissioners
may appoint the following officers, assistants and employees
of the Board of Health, who shall receive annual salaries,
payable monthly, not exceeding the amounts as follows:
Health Commissioner $3300.00
First !Assistant Health Commissioner 2400.00
Second Assistant Health Commissioner 2100.00

The Health Commissioner and assistant Health Com-
missioner shall each receive the sum of $35.00 per month for
transportation and expenses.
Bacteriologist 12400.00
Chief Health Inspector, who shall
have charge of division of meat
and food inspection and division
of dairy and milk inspection and
division of sanitary inspection . . 3000.00
Veterinary and Dairy Inspector . . . 2400.00
Chief +:uarantine Inspector 1740.00
Chief of Venereal Clinic 1200.00
Medical Inspector 900.00
Chief of Nursing Division . 1920.00
Deputy Registrar of Vital Statistics 1800.00
First Grade Inspectors, each . 1620.00

Fourth Grade Inspectors, each . 1260.00
SECTION 3.'In the opinion of the _Board-of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace health and safety of:the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately,

publication.
