AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3602 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 3602 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to licenses, be and the 'same
is hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit:
SEC. 3602. LICENSE ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR. APPOINTMENTS.
There is hereby created in the department of public affairs
and finance the office of license assessor and collector. The
board of commissioners may appoint the following officers and
employees at not exceeding the salaries named:
One license assessor and collector b $2760.00 per annum
First Grade inspectors, each 2220.00 n
Second Grade inspectors, each 1620.00 ti t�
Third Grade inspectors, each 1500.00 n tt
And such assistants, clerks or other employees as may be
necessary for the proper conduct of the license department, at
such salaries as the board may designate.

The license assessor and collector shall give a bond to
the city in the sum of $10,000, conditioned upon the faithful )
performance of his duties and the proper accounting of all �"
funds and money coining into his hands or under his control.
The board of commissioners may require any employee of
the license department to give bond in such amount as it may
designate.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants

of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediate-
ly.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect at once upon
its first publication.
