AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sec. 17-3-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to organization of the Health
Department, as amended by Bill No. 14 of 1966, passed January 26,
1966.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 17-3-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to organization of the Health Depart-
ment, as amended by Bill No. 14 of 1966, passed January 26, 1966, be,
and the same hereby is, amended as follows:
"Sec. 17-3-1. Organization. The health department shall
consist of the following officers and employees, who, except
for the health commissioner and members of the board of health,
shall be appointed by the appointing power, subject to the
approval of the board of commissioners, from the certified
list of civil service commission of Salt Lake City, for each
such office or position to be filled, to-wit:
Health Commissioner Nursing Consultant I
1st Ass't Health Commissioner Nursing Consultant II
2nd Ass't Health Commissioner Public Health Nurse
Chief Sanitarian Graduate Nurse
Sanitarian Supervisor X-ray Technician
Sanitarian I Bacteriologist I
Sanitarian II Bacteriologist II
Ass't Sanitarian Deputy Registrar Vital Statistics
Veterinarian Chief Clerk Vital Statistics
Health Educator I Stenographer
Health Educator II Clerk Typist
Director of Nursing Sealer Weights & Measures
Ass't Director of Nursing Inspector Weights & Measures
Nursing Supervisor Weighmaster."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the

inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 9th day of February, 1966.
