HomeMy WebLinkAbout24 of 1981 - Amending Sections 27-9-1, 27-9-2 and 27-9-3, relating ot fees for use of facilities (golf) j SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 24 of 1981 (Fees for Use of Facilities) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 27-9-1, 27-9-2 AND 27-9-3 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO FEES FOR USE OF FACILITIES. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City: SECTION 1. That Sections 27-9-1, 27-9-2 and 27-9-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fees for use of facilities, be, and the same hereby are, amended as follows: Sec. 27-9-1. Green fees. There is hereby imposed on any person playing golf at any of the City golf courses the following fees: (a) Nine holes - regular rate $3.00 (b) Eighteen holes - regular rate 5.50 (c) Nine holes - senior citizen rate 1.00 (d) Season pass - regular rate 175.00 (e) Season pass - senior citizen rate 87.50 (f) Season coupon pass - junior rate 50.00 Sec. 27-9-2. Id. Senior citizens. A senior citizen shall be any person 65 years of age or older. The senior citizen rate established by Section 27-9-1(c) of these Revised Ordinances shall be in effect for play on any day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, at Forest Dale and Nibley Park only. Senior citizens playing golf on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday shall pay the regular rate as established by Section 27-9-1(a) or (b) of these Revised Ordinances, as appropriate. Sec. 27-9-3. Id. Season pass. (a) A season pass, including a senior citizen's season pass, shall entitle the holder thereof to play golf on any city golf course on any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. Any season pass holder desiring to play golf on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday shall pay the regular green fee established by Section 27-9-1(a) or (b) of these Revised Ordinances, as appropriate. (b) Any person 17 years of age or younger may purchase a season coupon pass which will entitle said person to play 25 nine hole rounds of golf on any City golf course, subject to the following: (1) The coupon pass shall not be transferable and may be used only by the person purchasing same. (2) Any person desiring to purchase a season coupon pass must show proof of their age if required to do so. (3) Coupons will be valid only on weekdays; provided, however, that in the event a holiday shall fall on a weekday, no coupon pass will be allowed. (4) Play will be restricted to the hours between opening of the course and 3:30 p.m. No player utilizing a coupon pass shall be allowed to commence play after 3:30 p.m. (5) The golf pro, or his designee, shall place an expiration date on the coupon pass at time of purchase and said pass shall be valid for one year from the date of purchase. No refund shall be allowed for any unused portion of said pass. (6) The reverse side of each coupon pass shall contain rules and regulations governing junior golf play. Any junior golfer who violates any of the rules or regulations printed on the coupon pass shall be subject to forfeiture of the pass. (7) Junior coupon passes may be purchased from the golf pro at any City golf course. SECTION 2.
