Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1920, as amended by en ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, December 22, 1920t Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION IOTT 1. `t'hat Section 1858 of the l evi +ed Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1920, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Iourd of Commissioners of SsJ.t .sni:e City, December 22, 1920, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 1858. ,ICIIS .'L.EC. iTCIBES. Siren whistles or whistles operated by condensed air, exhaust gas or steam, shall not be used on any vehicle going forward except those operated by the police department, fire department, or sheriff, and authorized public utility vehicles when on emergency calls, nor shall any person operating or in charge of any motor vehi- cle create any unnecessary noise; provided, however, that it shall be permissible to use siren whistles or whistles operated by condensed air, exhaust gas or steam upon any 'vehicle for use only when such vehicle is backing. SECTION 2.
