AN ORDIN* CS LEVYING A TAX UPON PR@P]1a YY OW BOTH SIDES OF THIRD SOUTH STREW BRMIN STATS AND VW TIMM STRINC, FOR THE PURPOSE'OF PROVIDING FOR TEE CURSING AND PAVING THBRXOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: Section 1. That said Council doth hereby levy a tax and provide for the a s£ssment upon the real property hereinafter described, abutting upon both sides of Third South Street between State and West Temple Streets in paving District No. 6 of Salt take City. Said tax is levied to defray the expense of curbing and paving said portion of said street, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the curbing and paving of said street will especially benefit the property aautting thereon and hereinafter described to the full amount of the estimated cost thereof. Said property is to be assessed at an equal and uniform rate, in accordance with the linear foot frontage on each side of said street. The cost and expense of making said improvement is estimated at Fourteen Dollars per linear front foot, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said property is fourteen dollars per front foot abutting upon said portion of said street; and the City Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to assess said property in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purpose herein mentioned. The property hereby assessed consists of those portions of lots 5 and 6, block 51; 5, 6, 7, and 8, block 52; lots 1 and 2, block 57; lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, block 58, all in Plat "A" Salt & ke City Survey, abutting upon said street and extending back fifty feet from each side thereof, as the same appear and are shown upon the official plats of said City. Sec. 2, That said tax levied as aforesaid, upon said pro erty, shall bee me delinquent as follows: One fourth of the total amount so levied sha 1 became delinquent September lst, 1901; one fourth December let, 1901, one fourth March 1st, 1902; and one fourth September 10th, 1902. 96 1 each of said installments, except the first, shall draw interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum from the time of the levy afore- said until the same shall become delinquent; and if any or either of said installments be not paid before they become delinquent, interest thereon from the date of such d .linquency shall be charged at the rate of ten per paid. cent per annum I until said delinquent installments are fully Sec. 3. That the entire amount of tax so levied and assessed on said property may be paid by the owner of any property, or the entire equal proportion of said tart InallExiloclual upon any piece of property may be paid by any person on any part thereof within ninetydays from said levy and thereafter such pieces of property shall be exempt from any lien or charge there:"or.
