Green Stewart41 Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHARTER LVII, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, by adding thereto a now section to be known as Section 1808XI, relating to streets. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That Chapter LVII of the Revised Ordinances of. Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section to be known as Section 1808X1, re- lating to streets, to road as follows: SECTION 1808X1. That A, G, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, H, 0, B, , R, Si T, and U Streets and all streets and avenues in Federal Heights are hereby set aside for light traffic and shall not be used for heavy traffic except as provided in this section. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any dray, furniture van, farm or freight wagon, sand or gravel wagon, truck, tractor, or other vehicle equipped with steel or hard rubber tires and used for carrying goods, wares, merchandise, brick, coal, lumber, stone, earth, gravel, sand, cement, lime, tiling, steel beams and other steel and iron products, oil, gasoline, manufactured articles, .express mat- ter, baggage, freight and material of any and every kind hav- ing a gross weight of one ton or more, upon or along the said streets or avenues; provided, however, that wagons, trucks, or other vehicles carrying goods, wares and merchandise or other articles herein enumerated, to or from any house or premises abutting upon such streets, shall be permitted to enter on said streets at shah premises or at the cross street nearest the house or premises to which delivery is to be made or received from and to deliver or receive such goods, wares merchandise or other articles, but shall not be permitted to proceed'upon said street further than the nearest cross street in.the direction such vehicle is traveling. It is hereby made the:duty of the Chief of Police to cause warning signs to be posted in conspicuous places along said streets within said restricted area. SECTION 2. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished as provided in Section 7 of Chapter 1 Hof the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920. SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and safet of the inhabitants of said city that this ordinance become effect ive immediately.
