Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That subsection (1) of Section 25-11-10 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, relating to holidays for City employees, be, and the same hereby is amended as follows: Sec. 25-11-10. Holidays. (1) The following days are hereby declared holidays for all employees on the regular monthly payroll of Salt Lake City. All such employees shall receive their regular rate of pay for each of the following unworked holidays: The first day of January, called New Year's Day; the twelfth day of February, the anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln; the third Monday of February, observed as the anniversary of the birth of George Washington; the last Friday in April, called Arbor Day; the last Monday of May called Memorial Day; the fourth day of July, called Independence Day; the twenty-fourth day of July, called Pioneer Day; the first Monday in September, known as Labor Day; the second Monday of October, known as Columbus Day; the eleventh day of November, known as Veterans' Day; the fourth Thursday in November known as Thanksgiving Day; and the twenty- fifth day of December called Christmas.
