An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on the east side of H Street between South Temple and First Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 24, for the construction of a cement side walk.B Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lots 2 and 3, Block 6, Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey; abutting on the east side of H Street between South Temple and First Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 24, said property having a front- age of 330 feet along said street. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a cement sidewalk upon said portion of said street opposite the prop- erty hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab- lished that the same will be especially benaited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the , linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet baok therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is two hundred and seventy-seven and 20/100 ($277.20) dollars, or 84/100 ( "0.84) dollars per front or linear foot, which is the estimated total cost, and the estimated cost per linear foot of said sidewalk, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in ac-I cordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose here-1 in mentioned, all ofLots 2 and 3, Block 6, Plat "L", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street. SECTION 2. Sai' tax shall become and be delinquent as follows: One-third thereof shall become delinquent in three months after the approval of this levy; one-third afbaz mat in six months after 28 11 11 11 -2- said approval, and one-third in twelve months after said approval. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shall draw interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum from date of levy, and all said installments shall hear ten per cent per annum from date of delinquency. SECTION 3. This ordinate shall take effect upon approval.
