An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 294 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 294 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, be, and the same hereby is amended and re-enacted
so as to read. as follows:
SECTION 294. DUTY OF HEALTH COMMISSIONER. (See Nuisances
Sec. 486.) The Health Commissioner shall be the executive of-
ficer of the Board. He shall take notice of all ordinances re-
lating to the sanitary condition of the City and enforce the
same, and to this end he is hereby authorized to enter, in the
day-time, any premises, houses or buildings in the City or
within five miles thereof; he shall issue all necessary per-
mits for the burial, removal or other disposition of the bodies
of deceased persons.
The Health Commissioner is also authorized to employ one
/te=momee. competent nurses for the Isolation Hospital at a salary
$100.00 per month, and a Steward for said
Hospital at a salary )$75.00 per month, and a
cook at said Hospit , at a salary OZ-- aed 450.00 per
month, and eueh other employees at maid Ho spital;-en .. y---be

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
