AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property on Arapahoe Avenue from Navajo Street, west one-half blook;
7th South Street from 12th West Street to Pueblo Street, Wasatch
Avenue from llth West Street to one-half block west of Navajo Street;
8th Smith Street from 12th West Street to one-half block west of
Navajo Street; Navajo Street from Arapahoe Avenue to 8th South Street;
13th West Street from 6th South Street to Arapahoe Avenue, in Sewer
District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 377) for the purpose of construct-
ing a sewer.
BE IT ORnATNED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No.
2 (Sewer Extension No. 377) for the purpose of constructing a sewer,to-wit:
In Lots 1 to 16 incl. of Blk. 24, Lots 1 and 8 to 22 i.nal.
of Elk. 25, Jordan Place Sub. , being a part of Secs. 2 & 3, T. 1 S.,
R. 1 W. , S.L.B.& M., Lots 21 to 40 incl. of Blk. 2; Lots 31 to 40
incl. of Blk. 3; Lots 1 to 10 inol., Lots 35 to 40 incl. of El.k. 6;
Lots 1 to 20 incl., Lots 21 to 40 incl. of Blk. 7; Lots 21 to 40 incl.
of Elk. 8; Lots 1 to 20 incl. of Elk. 9; Lots 1 to 40 incl. of Blk. 10,
Lots 1 to 10 inol. ,Lots 21 to 40 inol.of Blk. 11; Lots 1 to 20 inol.,
Lots 31 to 40 incl.of Mk. 14; and Lots 1 to 21 incl. of Blk. 15,

Poplar Grove Addition, being a part of Secs. 10 & 11, T. 1 S.,
R. 1 W. , S.L.B & M. , Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both
sides of Arapahoe Avenue from Navajo Street, West one-half block;
7th South Street from 12th West Street to Pueblo Street, Wasatch
Avenue from llth West Street to one-half block west of Navajo
'Street, 8th South Street from 12th West Street to one-half
block west of Navajo Street; Navajo Street from Arapahoe Avenue
to 8th South Street; 13th West Street from 6th South Street to
Arapahoe Avenue.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of construct-
ing a vitrified and concrete pipe from eight (8) inches in
diameter to twenty-one (21) inches in diameter, upon the por-
tions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and
i.ereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited
.y said improvement and it is hereby adjudged, determined and
=stablished that sai d property will be eT eoially benefited
ereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said

side of the south 601 of Lot: 21, Blk. 15, Poplar Grove Add.,
being a part of Sees. 10 and 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W. , S.L.B.& M.,
Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official
plats,of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of land
and to collect said tax.
SECTION II. Said tax shall become and be delinquent
in five equal yearly installments , with interest on the is hole
sun unpaid at the rate of six per cent par annum, payable at

the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof
one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax
for the paymentfor Such improvement becomes effective; one-
fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance bec cues effec-
tive; one-fifth thereof in three years after said ordinance be
• comes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said
ordinance becomes effective; and one-fifth thereof in five
years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of
said installments, in the order in which they are payable, or
the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within ten (10)
days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes
effective, without interest. In the event of any installment
or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the day the same
bee aces due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become
due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight 1
Iper cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed;
provided, one or more installments, in the order in which
they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be paid
on the day any installment becomes due, by paying the amount
thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect one
day after its first publication.
