Result
JUt ORDINANCE LEVYITNG a TAX and for the assessment of
property in Lighting District iTo. 10, for the purpose of providing
for the installation of arc lamps.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Pelt Lake
City, Utah.
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the sane upon the property hereinafter described in Lighting Dis-
trict No. 10, for the purpose of providing: for the installation of
arc lamps, to-wit:
In Lots 5, 6, 7 and S of 31k. 56, Lots 5 0 6
of 31k. 57, Lots 5, 6, 7 _./ad 6 of 81k. 58, Lots 1 and 2,
of P1k. 69, Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of D1k. 70 and Lots 1 and
2 of :31k. 71, Plat "A.", Salt Lake City Survey, alutting on
both sides of 2nd ::oath 'Ctreet from :test 'Temple :street to
2nd East Street in Salt Lake City.
This tax is levied to defrr:y the expense of providing
for the installation of arc lamps (said lamps to be one hundred
twenty-six_ (126) in number; fourteen (14) ornamental ir6n standards
on each block in said district (seven standards to be on each side
of each block) each standard to carry three inverted type ornamental
6.6 ampere luminous arc lamps), said lamps to be illuminated by
electric current; said standards to be ac;pro_:imately 110 feet apart,
and to be supplied with electric current for the illumination of the
same each night from fifteen minutes before dark until midnight,

any installment is not oaid on the day the same becomes due, the

whole amount of the s ;ecial tax unpaid at the time said install-
went is due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest
at the rate tf twelve per cent per annum until the sale of the
property assessed.
