passed cy the Boara of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on May
14, 1941, and designated as bi4.1 No. 21, relating to the regulation
and control of smoke nuisances in Salt Lake City.
he it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That -item 4 of Section 1630 in Chapter LXX, lie--
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, i934, of an ordinance passed
by the Board of Cosneissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on gay 14,
1941, and designated as bill No. 21, relating; to tee regulation and
control of smoke nuisances in Salt Lake City, be and the same is here-
by amended to read as follows:
"ITuhi 4. The Boaru of Commissioners shall appoint a board
of three examiners of at least ten ,yearst experlence in steam
power plant operation. Two of the examiners are to be appoint-
ed from engineers Rho are citizens of salt Lake City, each of
v,hom shall receive the sum of 65.00 as compensation for each +�
meeting attended, and cared as herein provided. The term of
office shall be one year or until the successor is appointed
and qualified. The third examiner shall be the chief engineer
of the Smoke Control Division, who will act as Chairman and pre-
side at all meetings of the 1;oard of }xaniner.s,n
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, Health anti safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that tills ordinance shall take °fled i.maediately.
