AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sec. 24-2-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1965, relating to municipal precincts.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 24-2-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City,
Utah, 1965, relating to municipal precincts, be, and the same hereby is, amended
to read as follows:
"Sec. 24-2-2. Municipal precincts. Division and number. The territory
embraced within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City shall be and the
same is hereby divided into seven precincts, bounded and described as herein
set forth:
PRECINCT NO. 1: All of that portion of the city lying west of
the center lines of Main Street and 'A' Street extended north to
the boundary line of Salt Lake City at the Davis County line,
north and west of the following described line: Beginning at the
intersection of the center line of 'A' Street extended and the ': ,
Davis County line and runningthence south along the center line of 4,41.,
said 'A' Street to the center line of 6th Avenue; thence west along ( ''r
the center line of 6th Avenue extended to the center line of Canyon
Road; thence southerly along the center line of Canyon Road to the
center line of 2nd North Street extended; thence west along the
center line of said 2nd North Street to the center line of Main
Street; thence south along the center line of Main Street to the
center line of 4th South Street; thence west along the center line
of 4th South Street to the center line of I-15; thence southerly
along the center line of I-15 to the center line of 6th South Street;
thence west along the center line of 6th South Street to the center
line of the Jordan River; thence northerly along the center line of
the Jordan River to the center line of South Temple Street extended;

the west boundary line of the City.
PRECINCT NO. 2: All of that portion of the city lying east of the center
lines of Main Street and 'A' Street extended north to the boundary line
of Salt Lake City at the Davis County line, north and east of the
following described line: Beginning at the intersection of the center
line of 'A' Street extended and the Davis County line and running
thence south along the center line of said 'A' Street to the center
line of 6th Avenue; thence west along the center line of 6th Avenue
extended to the center line of Canyon Road; thence southerly along
the center line of Canyon Road to the center line of 2nd North Street
extended; thence west along the center line of said 2nd North Street
to the center line of Main Street; thence south along the center line
of Main Street to the center line of South Temple Street; thence

Salt Lake Base and Meridian; thence west along said quarter line to
an intersection of the center line of Alta Street extended; thence
northwest to an intersection with the center line of Virginia Street;
thence north along the center line of Virginia Street extended to
the north 40-acre line of said Section 33; thence east along said
40-acre line to the east 40-acre line of Section 34, T.1 N., R.l E.,
Salt Lake Base and Meridian; thence north along said east 40-acre
line to the north line of said Section 34; thence east along said
Section line to the east boundary line of the City.
PRECINCT NO. 3: All of that portion of the city lying between the
southerly and westerly city limit lines and the following described
line: Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of 5th East
Street and 21st South Street and running thence north along the center
line of 5th East Street to the center line of 9th South Street; thence
west along the center line of 9th South Street to the center line
of 3rd East Street; thence south along the center line of 3rd East
Street to the center line of Belmont Avenue; thence west along the
center line of Belmont Avenue to the center line of Main Street;
thence north along the center line of Main Street to the center
line of 4th South Street; thence west along the center line of 4th
South Street to the center line of I-15; thence southerly along the
center line of I-15 to the center line of 6th South Street; thence
west along the center line of 6th South Street to the center line
of the Jordan River; thence northerly along the center line of the

ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
