ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 5-6-8 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to Fence Requirements. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 5-6-8 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to Fence Requirements, be and the same hereby is, amended as follows: Sec. 5-6-8. Fence Requirements. Said fence shall be made of clean lumber pressed on the side facing the street with all openings in said fence provided with gates opening inward. At no time shall the fence have thereon any printed, painted, or other forms of advertisement, except the Mayor may grant permission to place thereon one or more signs of a temporary nature with a simple statement identifying the project or stating that the premises enclosed are or will be occupied, or that any business enclosed therein has moved to another location; provided such signs shall not exceed in combined total area one hundred fifty (150) square feet and shall be painted with waterproof paint and be kept neat and clean. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the inhabtants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the date of its first publication.
