29 of 1911 - Ordinance 29 of 1911 – Amending & re-enacting Section 288, raising salary of Health Commissioner. • AN O R D I H A N C E . An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 288 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City Council April 5, 1909, and approved by the Mayor April 6, 1909. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 288 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the City Council April 5, 1909, and approved by the Mayor April 6, 1909, be, land the same is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: 288. BOARD OF HEALTH. A 20INTMENT. COMPENSATION. The Mayor shall, by and with the advice and consent of the Council, appoint, during the term for which he is elected, e. Board of Health, consisting of a Health Commissioner, en Assistant Health Commissioner, each---of whole. :hell be c graduate of a reputable medical college, and two citizens. The Mayor shall be ex-officio Chairman of the Board. The compensation of each member of the Board of Health (exclusive of the Mayor, Health Commissioner, and Assistant Health Commissioner) is hereby fixed at five ( 5.00) dollars for each meeting attended. The Health Commission- er shall receive as compensation, in full for all sorxices ren- dered the city, a salary of two thousand ( i2,000.00) dollars per, annum, payable monthly as are the salaries of other city officers. The Mayor sliall also, by and with the Advice and consent of the Council, appoint, during the term for which he is elected, one Assistant Health Commissioner, who shall be a graduate of a reputable medical college, and who shall do such acts and per- form such duties pertaining to the Health Department of the oity:i as may be delegated to, and required of him by the Health Com- 1 mis:ioner according to law; and who shall receive as compensation, in full for all services rendered the city, a salary of twelve hundred 01,200.00) dollars per annum, payable monthly as are 29 -2- the salaries of other officers. SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinano and resolutions in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 3.
