AN ORDI 1NANCE .
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Sections 670 and 671 of
the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an
ordinance passed by the City Council May 3, 1909, and approved by
the Mayor May 4, 1909, in regard to the notice of special taxes.
De ii ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 670 and 671 of the Revised Ordinance:
of Salt Lake City of 1903, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
City Council May 3, 1909, and approved by the Mayor May 4, 1909, i.
regard to the notice of special taxes, be, and the same are hereby
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: •
670. NOTICE OF SPECIAL TAX. Immediately upon the reoei.t
by the City Treasurer of the certified oopy of the ordinance
confirming a special tax or assessment, as specified in Secti.n
669, the City Treasurer shall gins at least five days' notice
in one or more papers having a general circulation in the cit' ,
of the time when such tax or assessment shall become delinquent;
such notice shall be substantially in the following form:

or more of said installments in the order in which they are

of said installments in the order in which they are payable, or
the whole tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment
is due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said day.
All special taxes are payable at my office, Room
City and County Building, Salt Lake City, Utah.

671. NOTICE OF SPECIAL TAX FOR MAILING. As soon as
possible after the first publication of such notice, and not
more than five days after the receipt by him of the certified
copy of the ordinance confirming a special tax or assessment,

the City Treasurer shall cause to be deposited in the mail,
postpaid and addressed to the several owners of the property
affected by the levy, as they may then appear upon the records
in the offioe of the County Assessor, at their last known post-
office address, a personal notice, substantially in the follow-
ing form:

If said tax is riot pall when due, I shall proceed at once
to collect, with interest -end posts, as provided by law and
ordinance.
All special taxes are payable at my office, Room
City and County Building, Salt Lake City, Utah.

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances, and all
resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with this ordinanc=
are hereby repealed.
