AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, of Title 2, of the Revised
1955,
Ordinances of Salt Lake City/relating to aeronautics by adding thereto
a new section to be known as Sec. 2-1-15, making it unlawful to jump
from an aircraft in flight over Salt Lake City or to land from an
aircraft within Salt Lake City or to permit any person to jump from
an aircraft in flight over Salt Lake City.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 1, of Title 2, of the Revised
1955,
Ordinances of Salt Lake City/relating to aeronautics, making it unlawful
to jump from an aircraft in flight over Salt Lake City or to land from
an aircraft within Salt Lake City or to permit any person to jump from
an aircraft in flight over Salt Lake City be, and the same hereby is,
amended by adding thereto a new section to be known as Sec. 2-1-15,
to read as follows:
"Sec. 2-1-15. Unlawful to jump or permit jumping from
from aircraft. (a) Except in case of an emergency it
shall be unlawful for any person aboard an aircraft in
flight to jump from such aircraft at any point over the
corporate limits of Salt Lake City, or to land within
the corporate limits of Salt Lake City from an aircraft
in flight, whether the jump therefrom is made within
or outside the corporate limits.
"(b) Except in case of an emergency it shall be
unlawful for the pilot or other persons in charge of
an aircraft in flight to permit any person aboard to
jump therefrom over the corporate limits of Salt Lake City."
